Poggio Capponi - Petriccio Chianti DOCG

The Chianti Montespertoli D.O.C.G. Petriccio is a long-lived red wine with good concentration, compactness and delicacy. It stands for the typical advantages of the Sangiovese grown in the area. The Sangiovese vines are grown in the most fertile areas of the winery. The soils are of medium density, the vines are cultivated according to the rules of cordon cone training. The yield per vine is low. After maceration for around 20 days, malolactic fermentation takes place partly in steel tanks and partly in barriques, where the must stays for between 12 and 16 months. Refinement on the bottle takes around 6 months.
