Girlan - Sauvignon DOC Flora Sauvignon Blanc has been grown in South Tyrol for more than a century. The white wine has an intense yellow color.
The best grapes of this variety come from the growing areas of Girlan, Montiggl and Eppan Berg at 500 m above sea level. The different combinations of the cultivation soils - clay, lime and gravel - give the wine a unique character.
The grapes are picked by hand and delivered in small containers. After a short maceration and gentle whole grape pressing, the must is cleared of the sediment through natural sedimentation. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. The aging takes place for 8 months in stainless steel tanks and large wooden barrels without malolactic fermentation on the fine yeast.
The Sauvignon variety has been grown in South Tyrol for more than a century. The intense scent of citrus and elderflower as well as the freshness and liveliness are typical for this wine. The minerality and the fresh acidity characterize the aromas.
Goes well with fish dishes, seafood, asparagus and white meat.
