The beautiful growing area of this Amarone Selezione Castagnedi is located in the municipality of Mezzane di Sotto - Monti Garbi district (Verona).

The soil in this region is sandy, muddy, skeletal with white limestone. The vineyard is located at a height of 300 meters above sea level. The grape varieties Corvina and Corvinone 70% - Rondinella 20% - Croatina 5% - Oseleta 5% are used for the Amarone della Valpolicella DOC Selezione Castagnedi. 

The Amarone has a ruby red color with purple reflections.

On the nose an overwhelming bouquet of ripe red fruits and fine spicy aromas of liquorice. In terms of taste, the Amarone Selezione Castagnedi is well balanced, mild and rounded tannins. The finish is warm, spicy, elegant with a fine and long-lasting finish. 

Goes well with meat, Italian pasta dishes, pizza, risotto and cheese.
